CHRISTMAS PARTY 2011

The clinic's Christmas party was yet again another complete success.

stansbusinesscard Our regular Jimmy was the evening's main entertainment providing live music and some DJ'ing. Also, Stan Pawelek brought back some memories with tributes of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

There was a visit from our own Santa and Helen was presented with a cheque for £3,700 by one of the patients, Richard who had raised the money for the Courtyard Clinic. It was announced by Bernard that this money would be instantly used to arrange for more complimentary massage therapy appointments for patients, a much loved and under-funded therapy that the clinic is now able to provide more of!

Compliments and thanks to Andy who found the venue. He made the enquiries and met with the staff many weeks ago. He said that he was quite concerned and anxious whether everyone would enjoy the venue or not... well we did Andy so you can relax now! Hehehe!
The food was exciting, very tasty, varied and included spicy chicken thighs, salmon and chilli fish cakes, sausage rolls, vegetable cous cous, freshly sliced turkey with a warm cranberry sauce, freshly made coleslaw, spinach fajitas and some mini fresh mince pies. There was what seemed to be an endless supply of the fizzy dizzy stuff and orange juice and water. In addition to this, there was a good amount of budget behind the bar and free drinks were offered in the guise of complimentary tickets.

Thanks to Jezz who played the part of doorman and issuer of tickets and wrist bands. To Helen for all of the organising and Christmas cards, to Eric and Pat for their help with the balloons and setting up the room, the staff (in particular, Ben) for their cooperation and consistent help with our requirements.

WHAT WE THOUGHT...

What a fabulous evening, a good time was had by all. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a success.

The Christmas party was great. I had missed having a party and I am glad they are up and running again... just bring back the drag queens. But that aside, food great and venue lovely. Thank you.
