| The Forum Steering Group is a smaller group, made up of patients, clinic staff and management. It meets monthly, aims to represent the views of patients in decision making in the clinic and organises the quarterly Patients’ Forum events and activities. All patients with HIV are welcome to volunteer to contribute to the group as we want it to truly represent the diverse range of patients at the clinic. If you’d like to be involved, please contact Bernard Kelly or Helen Webb at the clinic, or just come along to the clinic on one of the dates above. | The Patients’ Forum is an opportunity to meet other patients with HIV and clinic staff at informal evening events held at the clinic. It’s held every 3 months and food and drinks are provided. There are presentations from experts, service providers, patients and doctors as well as news of the latest developments in managing the virus. It’s free and all patients with HIV and their partners are welcome to attend. Recent forums have featured a talk on disclosure and the media reports of criminalisation of HIV transmission, clinical trials of new drugs in the clinic from a doctor and patient perspective, ask a panel anything you want and information on how the clinic handles confidentiality. If you have a topic you would like to see covered at a Forum, just let us know via the website or member of clinic staff. * This is the Christmas Party. |
